About UJHC

Universal Journal of History and Culture (UJHC) (Univers. J. Hist. Cult.) indexed by Index Copernicus is an international and peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality papers on social sciences. The journal aims to provide an international academic platform to meet the professional interests of researchers in different disciplines in this field. The target audience of the journal consists of researchers and related professional and academic institutions. To be published in this journal, a paper must contain new ideas and be of interest to a wide range of readers. The similarity percentage must be less than 20% excluding the references.


The Universal Journal of History and Culture (UJHC) is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes essays, reviews and translations covering original research in the social sciences. At the same time, various articles such as history, literature, sociology, ethnicity, book, criticism and evaluation are also included.


The Universal Journal of History and Culture (UJHC) applies at least two peer-review processes. The referees and editors in the submitted articles should have the corrections made within 20 days and the final version of the manuscript should be uploaded to the journal system. 

About Assoc. Prof. Dr. Handan Akyiğit

Handan Akyiğit completed her undergraduate studies at Ankara University in 2008, her graduate studies at Niğde University in 2011, and her doctorate studies at Sakarya University in 2017. Dr. Akyiğit also works on women's studies and migration, especially in the fields of identity, culture, and political sociology. There are two 1001 projects, one 1003 project, one 3005 project, and one 1002 project supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. Dr. Akyiğit is currently working as an Associate Professor at Sakarya University and is the Director of the Women's Studies Application and Research Center at Sakarya University.
